I’d been using one of those meat tenderizing mallets up until now and rather than pierce the meat as this meat tenderizer does it just pounds on it. This meat tenderizer is a much better alternative. Stone River Products meat tenderizer has many sharp blades that penetrate the meat quite easily and push your spices into the meat making it much more flavorful. It also promotes faster cooking times. I’ve been making a lot of low fat recipes by baking chicken rather than frying it so what I did was I used the tenderizer after I already put the spices on and then I spread it out on a tray and then used the convection setting to speed the cooking time up even faster and making it cook more evenly. My chicken was done in half the time and it came out more tender and flavorful than every. My entire family was very pleased with the outcome. I can’t wait to try it on steak and pork. To clean it I placed it in an oversize mug with some dish soap on it to make sure the soap got all the germs in between the blades. After a sufficient soak I lightly cleaned it with a dish brush and left it on a towel on the counter to dry before putting it back in its cover. I am also happy that it locks in place for safety and it’s very easy to use. I am going to incorporate the use of this product in much more of my recipes.
